I start by cutting my watermelon into cubes and adding ice

Then I blend until slightly smooth. Then I add some sugar (You can put however much to you liking) This is also when I add my lemon. Then i blend again until all smooth.

My Top 6 Flavored Water Recipes

Tuesday, June 20, 2017

It's summer time and this heat is not going anywhere. Can you believe we reached over 120 degrees this week in Arizona! Talk about being hot and sweaty. Living in Arizona my whole life, I've always loved water. I especially love a good flavored water, one that I've made myself and I know whats in it. Today I'm sharing my top 6 favorite flavored water recipes. I hope you enjoy and try them yourself.

I always start with prepping my fruit and making sure I triple wash it. For the fruit with a thick skin (oranges, limes etc) I use a little scrub brush to make sure its really clean. I mean this is going into our water right.

I also poke small holes into my fruit to help the infusion process( I hope that's a word) lol

My Flavored Waters

1. Strawberry and Mint
2.Cucumber Lemon
3.Orange Lime
4. Strawberry Orange
5.Cucumber Strawberry
6. Mint Lemon

I fill my mason jars with ice then I add the fruit. You can also use any cup or jar or water container. After I add water and close it up.
Allow your water to sit for 30minutes to an hour to let those wonderful flavors really infuse.

You'll be left with these delicious waters, that taste amazing and perfect for summer!
P.S. The strawberries may tint your water a little

Until Next Time
XOXO

Simple Strawberry Slush Drink

Sunday, May 21, 2017

I'm so excited to share with you this easy recipe. I know summer is approaching and there are so many drinks I cant wait to make. This strawberry slush is so simple and only requires 3 ingredients. The one thing I love about this recipe is you don't need ice, if you use frozen fruit. You can also make this with any fruit of your choice. I think a frozen peach slush drink would be delicious. The difference between this and a normal slush is. A slush is usually filled with ice but this is more like a blended drink mixed with a slush texture. I hope you enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:
Frozen Strawberries
Water
Sugar

Blend Blend Blend Until Smooth. If you want your slush thicker use less water.

You can add whatever sweetener you like. I decided to add sugar, but you can always do
-Honey
-Agave Nectar
-Sugar
-Maple Syrup

Pour in your preferred glass and Enjoy!!!

Spring/Summer Snack Table Scape Idea

Friday, May 12, 2017

Hey There Friends!
I arranged this super spring/summer theme snack table setting a few weeks ago and I've been dying to share it with you all. I don't know about you but I love snacks and especially cookies. So I thought why not combine a super cute table setting on a budget with some simple snacks for a small party or snack table.

The flowers and the vase are both from Joann's fabrics store. I love the amount of beautiful flowers they have. There are plenty to choose from. I always want all of them and have to constantly stop myself. I also found these long rectangle serving dishes from Ross. The center piece flower print at the bottom is a piece of scrapbook paper from michael's craft store.

I went to target and picked up this cute spring pillow and picture frame from the dollar spot. They also had this really cute open circular basket. I love a good deal that's why I always stop in the dollar section of target, they have the most amazing things.

For my snacks I decided to go with these soft sugar cookies from loft house. Honestly my favorite cookies to buy, there always so sweet and delicious but there mini so I don't feel bad about eating 3 or maybe 4. I also made a really easy salmon salad. Usually I Jazz My salmon salad up with celery and green olives and seasonings, but this time I was very simple.

Salmon Salad Recipe

I Can or Package or cooked boneless and skinless salmon
Mayonnaise
Mustard (regular or spicy)
Black Olives (sliced)

and you can also add
Green olives
Celery
Garlic Power
Onion Powder
Black Pepper

Along with that I added some of my favorite crackers and cheese. I'm not a cheese enthusiast (if that is a thing) but Munster cheese is one of my favorite cheeses, especially for grilled cheese sandwiches. But this time I decided to go with Smoked Gouda, which is also really delicious.

To Top it all off my mom made this delicious tazo tea. I'm telling you guys this tea will have you craving more and more and she uses all natural honey to sweeten it. Soooo delicious! Just serve it with ice.

I hope you enjoyed!!!

Until Next Time

Pineapple Watermelon Sparkling Lemonade

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Hey There! I have to admit, this is probably my favorite drink I've tried so far. I love festive drinks especially around the spring/summer time. They're perfect for family BBQ's, Lunches or Brunch (which is my favorite meal) I love everything about brunch!! It's heating up so quick here is Arizona and drinks are always a stable for us, and lets face it who doesn't love watermelon and pineapple!!! I actually saw this drink as an alcoholic beverage but since I'm not a drinker I thought why not find another way to make this a summer time drink for everyone.

I purchased everything from Trader Joe's, aside from the ice and cups of course. They have a really good produce section and I'm always pleased with their fruit and their prices. I started out with watermelon spears and pineapple spears. You can always buy a full watermelon or pineapple and cut it yourself, I just went the more simple route. I also picked up some limes for garnishing and it give the drink a nice flavor.

I Sliced and prepped all my fruit before I even started pouring the drinks. After I sliced the fruit I set it aside. You could also put it in the the freezer and let the fruit get a little hard before adding it to your drinks. Its like having mini fruit ice cubes.

I used two of my favorite drinks from Trader Joe's The Sparkling Lemonade and The Pineapple Juice. This lemonade is very light and refreshing but still is so delicious when it is chilled and poured over ice. I've brought this lemonade to a few work parties and everyone absolutely loved it. I also am obsessed with their pineapple juice. It takes exactly like freshly squeezed pineapple juice, NO LIE! I'm not a fan of canned anything so knowing it comes in a bottle makes me that much more excited to buy it and drink it, like everyday literally!

Next I poured in my ice (you only need a few pieces) I recommend letting the juice sit for 5 minutes or less with the the fruit before adding the ice. That way all the flavors can blend together. Then I added 1 cup of the sparkling lemonade and 1/2 cup of the pineapple juice. Just make sure you give it a little stir because the pineapple juice is heavier than the lemonade so it will settle to the bottom. Then I add in my fruit and give it one last stir before adding my lime garnish .

I put a few slices of the lime in the drink and also on the edge of the glass. The lime gives it a slight tart flavor that works well with the sweetness of the pineapple. The your ready to drink!! I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you try this drink. Let me know what you think In the comments below.

Until Next Time XOXO
