Easy Kosher Rice Krispie Treat Shapes!

Friday, December 26, 2014

I was so excited about making Rice Krispes, because I haven't made any since junior high school. So I thought this Holiday Season would be the perfect time to make them for my family.

Recipe Ingredients:

Two 10oz Bags of Marshmallows | 1/2 Stick Of Butter | 4-6 Cups Of Rice Krispies

I found these Marshmallow's at the Kosher Market. I don't eat pork, so finding an alternative Marshmallow that doesn't have gelatin in it, is Great!( If your looking for a kosher market just Google local kosher markets in your city)

Cooking

Put your stove on LOW and SLOWLY melt the butter and marshmallows together. You will know when its done because the consistency will be smooth and creamy.
** Be careful not to burn your marshmallows (take your time )

Mixing

After you pore in the marshmallows, start mixing everything together with a spatula.
** Make sure you butter your spatula and mixing bowl to avoid sticking

Shape
I first transferred my mixture into a pyrex dish to cool, then I started shaping them.

I decided to make balls, but you can also use cookie cutters and make different shapes.

Enjoy!:)

Heyyy Guys! Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday week! Here's my Outfit Of The Day from earlier today. I mixed plaid with checkered print, only because I felt a bit daring today. I even wore my favorite red lip stick by Rimmel London Kate. I was doing a little shopping so I wanted something comfy and not to complicated. Hope You enjoy!

These Pants are definitely one of my favorites to wear. I love the look of them and they are so comfy.

I bought these boots over 2 years ago from "Ross Dress For Less" and I still where them, especially on rainy days.

I am In love with the checkered black and white print on this scarf. It's very classic and can be worn with my different outfits or styles.

Ways to Relieve Stress & Pamper Yourself

Sunday, December 7, 2014

Stress can be a horrible thing that can be caused by many different aspects of life. Such as, work, school, relationships or just life in general. It's a natural part of life sometimes, but its our job to make sure we take care of it in a healthy way. Now its not good to hold in stress and never release it. It can eat at your body and cause many health problems. That is why it's always good to take a minute for yourself, Relax! and enjoy some "me" time. I would say once a week or once every 2 weeks treat yourself to things you REALLY! love and take care of your body. I have a few things I like to do on a weekly basis to keep my stress levels down and my energy up! Now before We start there are a few things that have to be done!

1. Relaxing Spa Bubble Bath

I'm all for bubble baths they just bring so much ease and comfort. Baths are so cleansing and relaxing for the body! They help calm your mind and give you some peace, If you really want to boost your mood add some sage essential oil to your warm bath to give you that extra relaxation and comfort. Warm water relaxes your muscles and can really give you a calm Ora. If you have aching muscles try adding some Epson salt to your warm bath to ease those pains! My Favorite Bubble Bath at the moment is this wonderful amazing relaxing smelling bubble bath from bath & body works called warm vanilla sugar. It is very calming and soothing. You can also go the more natural route and use essential oils. Essential Oils can give you great strength or help you relax.
Bubble Bath:

  Essential Oils:

Tea Tree Oil helps with Cleansing the Body of Toxins and Stress.
Lavender Oil keeps the body calm and at a relaxed state.
Peppermint Oil Cools the body off and gives you a nice refreshing feeling. (Great for in the morning to wake you up)

** Essential oils were purchased at sprouts

Fragrance:

Don't forget to smell delicious when you get out the tub! I'm loving this new holiday collection from bath and body works! FROSTED WONDERLAND is Heaven! Since this is winter time go for more moisturizing lotions or body creams that have Shea butter for added moisture in these dry months.

Candles:

I like to start off my day of pampering  by lighting candles and setting the right mood! I like to add some scents when I'm relaxing. My two favorite candles at the moment are Walnut Brownie by Living Colors (this candle smells just like a brownie!!) & Bourbon Blondie by Target (this candle also smells like a brownie) The two candles combined reminds me of being in a bakery with home made cookies, cakes and brownies!! Its wonderful.

 2. Entertainment

On those nights when its just you, and you get to choose whatever you want to watch. I like picking up some of my favorite feel-good movies and just watching all of them. While eating my favorite Vanilla Bean gelato!

If I'm not in the mood to watch movies, I usually just hop on my nook and start surfing you tube for my favorite you tubers and enjoy watching there videos. Beauty, Fashion, and Lifestyle Videos are my favorite to Watch! Here are the links to their You tube channels. Kayla Lashae ,Thats Heart & Fun For Louis

3.Music
For my music selection I try and stay with more of the calming yoga style. It really helps me relax and focus. I don't have to listen to words just rhythm, beats and harmony! Try looking up the yoga station on Pandora Internet Radio it's one of my favorites.

4.DIY Beauty Treatments
What is a Pamper Night without a Face Mask! The Mountain Forest Raw Honey gives your face that added moisture it needs in the winter and it also works great at exfoliating the skin. Raw Honey has a lot of great benefits for the skin. It is very healing and can help with people who have Acne, enlarged pores, Eczema, Hyper pigmentation, and Sensitive life less skin.

Directions:
 • Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, then Dry
 • Spread an even layer of raw honey on your face (avoiding the eye area)
 • Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes
 • Then Rinse it off completely
** Raw Honey was purchased at Whole Foods
  5.Hobby
I love writing! When I'm by myself I love to just write about anything, Random Topics, Short Stories, Poems. Just writing period! One of the best things to do when your relieving stress is start doing something you love or enjoy doing. Find out what your hobby is and DO IT! It takes your mind off of everything else and you can really just focus on you. Bring out that creative side we all have!

Hopefully these tips help you and you can go home and have a Nice Pamper Night to relieve some stress!

Bath & Body Works Holiday Haul

Hey Guys!! So I recently went to Bath & Body works to check out there Holiday Collection and Boy! did I find some goodies. I only went there because they were having a buy 3 get 3 free sale and I had a coupon for 10 dollars off, so I wasn't going to past up that deal. I am so in love with this store, but I have to be careful because I can get ahead of myself and go a little over board. Usually I only go when they are having a sale, that way I feel a little better. Smells are definitely my weakness. I only picked up body creams and fragrance mist because when it comes to body wash, I need something very moisturizing not just a smell. So I buy that separately.

So with that being said the first thing I bought was FROSTED WONDERLAND! First lets just say the packaging on this holiday collection is Perfect! It really stands out and with the frosted flakes its so pretty. I love anything cute, and packaging is very important for me. So A+ for Bath & Body works!!

This smell reminds me of the winter time. It's very soft and relaxing! I chose all body creams instead of lotion because it's winter time and I want my skin to be as moisturized as possible.

The next thing I got was TWISTED PEPPERMINT! This is my Favorite smell so far. I love peppermint so much, anything with peppermint in it, I want. This smell is like a sweet peppermint. I makes me feel so alive and happy. Ive been using it at night and I think It helps me sleep better. It mint add a little cold tingle tot the skin, very refreshing. I picked up the body cream and spray.

Then I got the SUGAR PLUM DREAM! body cream. I only wanted the body cream because sometimes, since it's winter, my hands get really dry and I like to have something that smells good but also adds moisture. Now Bath & Body works add Shea butter in there lotion and body cream for 24 hour moisture. With me living in such a dry climate like Arizona, this helps a lot.

Last but not least I picked up a simple body cream, which is the COUNTRY CHIC! I've had the set before but I just wanted to get the body cream because I love the smell. If your looking for something soft and calming, this is the perfect smell. I will forever love this smell.

I hope you enjoyed this holiday haul from bath & body works. Hopefully you will try some of these also. I know what my staples will be this winter season. Direct links to all of these products are in the post.

Easy Guacamole with Cilantro

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Well Hello there, it feels like its been awhile but I'm back with another recipe post. Yay! This past week I have been craving and I mean CRAVING! Guacamole! I was totally on a health kick and fell off completely, but with the holiday season coming up that might be a challenge. I decided to make some healthy guacamole with blue corn tortilla chips (which taste AMAZING might I say) but I wanted to play around with it so I added some cilantro. Now usually when I make guacamole I just add avocado and tomato but I was feeling good . lol :) The only thing I forgot is the lemon...because I didn't have any:( but its okay, if you like lemon just add the juice, it also helps so the avocado doesn't turn brown so quickly. Enough chit chat lets get started on this little recipe.

So here are my delicious ingredients
CILANTRO, 2 SMALL TOMATOES AND 2 RIPE AVOCADOS
** you will know the avocados are ripe when they are slightly soft and Dark Brown, NOT GREEN

I start by doing the usual mashing avocados with a fork ,without the seed of course:)

Now for the chopped tomatoes and chopped cilantro (you only need a few pieces of cilantro)

last but not least adding some garlic powder, onion powder and sea salt

Hope you guys enjoyed this Recipe

Overcoming Fear & Just Be Happy... (Free Spirit Friday)

Friday, November 7, 2014

Hey,
This past week has been a battle of emotions for me.....I'm not going to lie. Over coming fear or the feeling of rejection can be one of the hardest things to deal with! But knowing that end result will pay off is what should really be the main focus. Stepping out on the limb and doing something you may have never done before gives me the bubbly feeling in my stomach. Actually when I think about it I just want to curl up in a ball and hide lol But this is life and you cant do that or you will never grow and prosper. I'm writing this post to say....well, never let fear or rejection stand in the way. Yes its there, and in present time its the worst most scary feeling ever. But getting over a challenge and doing it still gives you a sense of accomplishment for me at least it does. Even if you fail, you can always say you tried and took a big step. I would say try not to think of the cons or what can go wrong, but rather think of the good and how happy you are, doing something you love. If you want to join a sport but you may not have the confidence to do it. Just think what if you go out there and make a killing! Stop thinking of the bad in every thing you do. I feel like that's how you grow. just take a leap and go for what you like to do. You don't get anywhere if you don't at least try. Even if you had no one to believe in you. believe in yourself (cliche line) I know but very accurate. You are in control of your own life not others. and well sometimes you have to think outside the four walls you live in.
There's a whole world out there just for you. It doesn't just belong to one person or only certain people. It belongs to everyone and  we should all enjoy our lives and do what makes you happy! Stepping over the small hurdle of fear can get us so much further. I'm not just talking about jobs or careers, even in you personal life. You are never stuck in any situation! We all deserve to be treated right and fairly, we also have the right to be just HAPPY! what ever happen to that. Sometimes it seems like when your happy people can be so judgmental, like calm down I, we, people, have the right to be HAPPY! sooooo ...I hope I didn't bore you with my little rant. But its friday and I'm calling it free spirit friday! A time to just chill relax and express my thoughts. Anyways love you

Burlap Covered Memo Cork Board

Thursday, November 6, 2014

I went searching the web for really cute cork boards to buy and well I didn't find any I like that were a reasonable price, so I decided to make one. I needed a place to post my outfit ideas, important notes, etc. I am so In love with the board. I actually want to make other ones with different colors. I don't what I would do with all of them but I'll find a use. This project is really easy if you already have a cork board at home. Lets Get Started!!!

What you will need:
Cork Board (any size)
Staple Gun
Burlap Fabric (enough to fit the cork board)

Lay the Burlap Fabric Face Down and the cork board face down on top of the Fabric
Now Fold in The Edges and get to Stapling!!!
**Its better to use a memo board with a wood border so the staples have something to attach to:)**

If you have extra fabric on the side just trim it down. Also make sure to leave space on the corners so you can still hang the memo
board up.

The back should end up looking a little like this!

                          End Result!

Hope you enjoyed this really easy DIY Memo Board! Let me know what fabric you chose or if you have some cool ideas for memo boards!
