June Ipsy Glam Bag & Review

Tuesday, June 26, 2018

This is my second time getting my Ipsy glam bag I also got the may package and really liked it, so when I received the second I thought I should do an honest review of how I like it. I think if you like getting small products to try before committing to a large purchase then this is right for you. I like that the items are small, so they can travel with me and also it gives me enough time to decide if I like it. I've enjoyed not having to buy a new mascara since ordering my ipsy glam bag because I received one in my may issue.

I am no, Beauty Blogger but I love skin care and cute lip colors and anything in between. I always thought the ipsy glam bag was only for makeup artist or girls who wear make up often. Come to find out I was totally wrong. When I went on their website, your bag is custom to the things you like. If you prefer skin care, masks, lip colors, skin tone etc. I was in total shock, how cool is that. My favorite part is everything is small and can travel with you everywhere, which comes in handy. And the best part if you like it, you can always purchase a full size product. Test before you commit to any product is always the best idea first.

KENSIE SPRAY

The first thing I got was this cute little perfume, that smells amazing! I always get worried with scents because you never know what it will smell like on you but I really liked it and it travels in my purse with me everywhere. Lets be honest you never know when you might need a little refreshing.

GROVE MINT AND ARGAN LIP BALM
I love a good hydrating lip balm especially one that smells like mint. This lip balm is very soft and the scent is very light.

PRETTY WOMAN NAIL POLISH #27
I'm not always a big fan of nail polish, but I have to say this color is so pretty! You guys know I love my neutrals so I was very happy when I saw they sent this to me.

KALEIDO COSMETICS SKIN BLUSH (PROM QUEEN)
When It comes to blush I can be a little picky because whatever  I use on my skin I want it to look the best and natural. I tried this blush on and it was very light and reminded me of a highlighter. Probably great for a summer glow look. The one thing I do love is this blush is vegan and gluten free!

MAC LIP GLASS LIP GLOSS
This is actually my first mac product ever! crazy right, or maybe not. I've just never tried mac products in general. This is a pretty lip gloss over a nice lip stick with maybe a little eye liner. I'm such a simple girl that plain gloss or chap stick works for me. Definitely on a night/day out this would be a nice lip bonus.

If your more curious about ipsy check out their website link and maybe try it for a month. Enjoy!

My Dental Hygiene Routine | Braces

Sunday, May 6, 2018

One thing I love, are pearly white, clean teeth. They just make me so happy! A clean, bright smile will light up your entire day. For me it does! Your dental hygiene routine changes a bit when you have braces. Flossing becomes...well a challenge I will say. But I found so many helpful products and tools that make dental hygiene a breeze.

Flossing

Lets start with the most challenging, FLOSSING! I use a water flosser and also dental floss specifically designed for braces.

I use the water flosser first. It gets rid of any food that may be stuck in your brackets and it feels amazing on my gums. I will say, if you use it, start on the lowest level first and work your way to 10. It can make your gums a little sore if you go in full speed. Now that I've been using it for over a year I only use the 10 speed.

These are the coolest flossers I've ever seen. Hence their name is SUPERfloss. They have a pointed plastic end for easy access into your braces and under your gums. These have been a life saver and they make flossing 5 times faster.

Tooth Brush

I switch between my electric Oral B Toothbrush and my new Bamboo Woobamboo (Natural) Toothbrush. Both I love, It just depends on my mood and how my teeth look, and feel.

Tooth Paste

I like Dr Bronners Toothpaste. Its not to strong and doesn't have a whitening agent. Which I try to avoid until I get my braces off.

Mouth Wash

I use this mouth wash because It does an amazing job at keeping your breath fresh for hours.

Spring Inspired Orange Body Scrub | DIY

Sunday, April 29, 2018

Spring and summer are my favorite times to break out the body scrubs. My skin tends to be more vibrant and glowing in the summer so taking this extra step of exfoliating makes my skin that much more hydrated.
I've used store bough scrubs, but making your own is much more cost efficient and you can find most of this in your house.
I have a whole box of essential oils as well as other oils that I use for my hair and skin (coconut oil etc)

Lets See what you'll need:

Coconut Oil
Sweet Almond Oil
Jojoba Oil
Vitamin E Oil
Sugar (Brown or White)
A Small Jar
Orange Essential Oil Or Lemon Essential Oil ( Add desired drops)

Mix The Sugar and oils together until you like the texture.Add more oil if you like it softer and less oil if you like more granules.

Enjoy Your Orange Scented Body Scrub!

Sparkly New Years Eve Head Band!

Wednesday, December 27, 2017

Ahhhh I could scream right now! New Years is literally around the corner, like its here everyone. I'm so happy about 2018 and I have no idea why really. I'm just really excited for it. I made this really cute and festive headband last minute because I wanted something sparkly to add to my hair but  what? hmmmm Ummm a sparkling headband duh.

This headband is super easy to make and you can make bunch of them for your friends.

You Will Need.

Hot Glue Gun or
E600 Glue (hot glue gun works better in my opinion)
A stretchy headband or a standard headband
Small foam sparkly balls
Large Pan to stretch headband over

Make sure the headband is stretched while you glue the balls on or you will be left with gaps when you put it on

*If any glue gets on your pan, use dawn dish soap let it soak and rub off with your finger

Let it dry completely which should only take maybe 5 minutes with a hot glue gun

My Summer Time Moisturizers

Saturday, July 15, 2017

Hello Summer Time! And hello to any new readers I have out there! Welcome, Welcome! Today I'm talking "Summer Skin Care". I love the summer time, because my skin stays hydrated and glowing, for some strange reason. I'm not complaining about it, I LOVE IT. I do make sure I am always adding moisture into my skin whether its a cream moisturizer or an oil moisturizer . My skin is definitely an oil lover (coconut oil, almond, avocado) any oil. I say its always best to find out what your skin likes. And Yess! that may take some trial and error but its totally worth it and makes shopping much easier and enjoyable.
Most of the products I purchase are fragrance free, because anything that has fragrance as an ingredient is going to break me out in the long run. If the products have to many chemicals it also breaks me out, so I pretty much stick to oils and my basic moisturizers. Let me stop chit chatting and tell you about these products.

I'm going to start with my most recent buys and then go on to my Holy Grails (I guess you can say)

Pixi Overnight Glow Serum

I've been using the pixi glow serum for about a month and a half and I like it. It gives me this hydrated glowing look before I go to bed at night and I wake up, rinse my face and I feel like a new women. It is definitely only a night time serum. I've tried to use it in the day time and I didn't like the way my face looked. I am one of those people that try everything, because I'm curious. I've also tried this serum before wearing makeup and it makes me so flaky and dry. So ONLY ONLY use it as a night time serum and wash your face in the morning. I also don't use it daily, maybe once a week or twice depending on my skin that week.

Murad (Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture Hydrant Intense Hrdro Dynamic)

I stumbled over Murad products when I was watching one of my favorite youtubers and she constantly raved over it and so of course I tried it. Let me tell you! Murad has changed my skin care routine. I'm going to save that for another post but I love Murad skin products. I use the hydrating moisturizer 80 percent of the time. It keeps my acne and breaks out away. Its light weight and keeps me hydrated into the next day. It is on the pricey side if you are on a budget. But I can't get enough of murad product and how they have transformed my skin.

Sweet Almond Oil or Avocado Oil

Like I mentioned before my skin and my hair DRINK UP OIL. My skin loves it and I don't know where I would be without it. I use oil at night and in the day time. I probably use oil for most of my moisturizing. I live in the desert and we have very dry heat, so adding oil to my skin really keeps it hydrated. I don't just use oil on my face, but also my body and nails and hair. It has truly been a life saver. It not only keeps my skin hydrated but also plump and soft. I have normal skin so oil doesn't make me shiny or break me out. My skin literally drinks it all in. If your skin is on the oily side I probably wouldn't recommend oil.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

Cetaphil is the first drug store product that cleared up my acne and kept my skin clear. I always keep the body moisturizer handy because it has worked really well for a drug store moisturizer. I definitely don't use it as much as I use to, but I still really like it. I know it says "for body" but I use it on my face only, and I haven't had any issues with it. My favorite thing about it, is it keeps my face soft and hydrated and its fragrance free. And I love that.

Do you guys have any moisturizers you live by, I definitely would like to know. Let me know in the comments and if you want to stay connected Subscribe to my blog and lets be friends!!

Until Next Time XOXO

Maybelline Dream Velvet Product Review

Thursday, June 29, 2017

So I was shopping at target, WHAT'S NEW?And I came across this Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation. I first I thought it was a BB Cream. It definitely has the same consistency. I've been using this foundation daily for the past month, especially for work and I'm in love. I get so many compliments on how smooth my skin looks. Of course I did start a new skin care routine (which I will be sharing later) but this foundation really has made a difference. I mean who doesn't love affordable drug store products, that work, am I right?.

Packaging
The packaging is very simple The product comes in a squeeze bottle, perfect size for traveling or taking with you on the go. It has a twist top which I like because I'm not a fan of flip caps, they tend to break and leak easily in my opinion.

Application
The application is smooth and creamy. I live for products that are easy to put on and blend and gives a nice smooth finish. I usually use a firm stipple brush to apply. I've even used my fingers and I glides on seamlessly. I follow up with rose water because it sets my foundation and keeps my skin hydrated, or use my Maybelline Powder.

Color Selection
They had so many different shades. From very fair to darker skin tones. I ended up getting the number 95 Coconut and it matches my skin perfectly!(which is very rare I might add)

Overall, This has been one of my favorite drug store foundations. I've been using it over a month now and no break outs and It keeps my skin smooth and radiant all day. Let me know if you've tried this foundation and how it works for you.

Here are a few pictures of me with the foundation on

Beauty

Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara
I have to have mascara even if I'm not wearing any any makeup. A good mascara is definitely my staple. My Favorite mascara is the Maybelline Big Shot Mascara. I gives my eyes that bold look, and really wakes me face up. If you like a more dramatic eye lash you'll love this one and it totally affordable.

Maybelline Lip Shine
I love a good lip gloss but this Maybelline Lip Shine leaves my lips shiny for so long and it keeps them moisturized believe it or not. Definitely my favorite, It goes everywhere with me

Maybelline Fit Me Powder
I guess you can say I'm loving Maybelline products right now. This powder is affordable and works. It gives my skin a smooth finish. I take this with me to work and I'm currently loving it.

Nivea
I prefer coconut oil or sweet almond oil over lotion, but my favorite lotion that I've been using for a while now is this Nivea Essentially Enriched one. It leaves me so moisturized and gives my skin a radiant glow. This is the only lotion I use and It is amazing!! I also love how thick it is. I buy the dry to very dry skin.
I also use the Nivea Cream for my feet as a nightly moisturizer.

At The Beach Body Spray and Lotion
I got these when bath and body works was having a sale, and I got them for only 7.00$ dollars. On top of that they smell sweet and perfect for summer and the beach. Hence the name At the beach.

Music

Sampha

I heard Sampha a few times on other artist albums as a feat, (Solange, Drake etc,) before I actually listened to his album titled "Process". And he is so incredibly talented. He plays the piano and his beats and harmonies and lyrics are amazing. I absolutely love his music and I play his album on repeat on my way to work everyday hahaa P.S My favorite song is INCOMPLETE KISSES and PLASTIC 100

Entertainment

The Show Power

Okay so, I am not a TV person, AT ALL. But of course my mother, of all people tells me about this show. and I watched one episode and I was hooked. Its definitely an adult show for mature audiences but it has so much suspense I have to see what happens in the next season. And the leading actor, he does an amazing Job and he is incredibly good looking!
