The Truth About Me Cooking?...

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

So Here It is, Here is the Truth! I love cooking! I honestly enjoy cooking delicious meals and trying to be creative, I just find it so fun and relaxing. But on the opposite side. I am a kitchen snob (sorry to admit it) I would enjoy cooking in a nice, clean kitchen with lots of light and space. Preferably an all white kitchen. If I don't like the kitchen, chances are I wont be motivated or want to cook in it.
The number one thing I like to make and I have no problem making is appetizers. Boy O Boy! I love appetizers. If they had a restaurant with just appetizers I would go there. They are so easy to make and they are usually mini, and anything mini is the greatest. I love it all from dips, to patties to mini wraps.
Baking Is Probably the most fun, you can never have to many sweet treats and homemade ones are the best. I love cupcakes, cakes, donuts. All of thee above. so when it comes to making treats that's always a yes.

Let me know in the comments below what things you like to cook. Or let me know if you don't like to cook

until next time xoxo

Actually Achieving Your Goal Can Be Scary

Saturday, December 16, 2017

Whether its weight loss, or that promotion you have been working towards, achieving a goal is one of the best feelings ever! But what happens after you have completed that goal and you have what you wanted?

Have you ever spent time working towards a goal and then you finally reach it, now what? It's a time when you start to realize you put your mind to something and actually achieved it. How Amazing is that right?!

I've recently had this realization and was wondering do other people have this. I reached a goal and now I feel like wow I did it, now what? Something that you could of been striving for is now here. Whether its a job, weight loss, etc. you reached that goal, now what?

I feel like once you reach your goal, you have so much more confidence. and you just want to achieve more. instead of staying in that position. Its like getting a  promotion and now your like wow I've worked so hard for this, but I want more,
does anyone else have that feeling?

The best feeling in life is completing a hard challenge that you put on yourself.

I do have to say reaching a goal is the best feeling in the world. Someone once said don't sulk about the loses and celebrate the wins. Your achievements are a part of your life good or bad. But its always amazing to reach those desired goals and feel accomplished.

let me know what or how you guys feel after you've reached a goal?

until next time!

Are You A Morning Person?

Sunday, November 5, 2017

Mornings are my favorite part of the day! I love waking up early and seeing the sun come up and the birds chirping (as cliche as that sounds lol) It's just a beautiful time of day.

Sleeping in makes me feel so unproductive!! And I HATE that feeling. I feel more tired then I did before I even went to sleep. My body is always super drained and I feel like my morning passed me by.

I love my mornings! They are peaceful and it has a different feeling than In the afternoon. Through out the work week I wake up at 5am everyday. So when the weekend rolls around I feel bad sleeping past 8am. Its such a different feeling waking up early and getting your day started. Even if its just going to dutch bros and grabbing coffee. (I love dutch bros haha)

I also feel like we should make the most out of our days and by doing that is, WAKING UP EARLY! Making good use of your daylight is the greatest feeling. Then when night comes you can relax, go out to eat, whatever you want.

I find myself more productive during the daylight hours. Mornings are usually the time when I run errands, because the stores are not crowded. I wash my car, grocery shop etc. I just enjoy my mornings so much more than I did a few years ago.

Are you a morning person or a night person?

Happy Fall / Revisiting My New Years Goals

Monday, October 2, 2017

Happy Fall Everyone!!! YAYY! Wow, Can you believe summer is over, I couldn't be more happy and sad at the same time. Fall is my favorite favorite season ever. All the colors,  the weather and the clothes. I just love it, But I really appreciate  those long days in summer, and all the delicious summer fruits! I'm definitely going to miss them.

Since we are 10 months into the year, I hope we all have been sticking to our new year goals (that might be something you haven't heard in a long time) and I hope most of you have achieved them. This year I've actually been trying my best to work towards those goals. Usually by this time of year, I've set my goals aside. But NOPE not this year. I plan to stay on track and knock out the rest of my goals.

It feels as if  sometimes we write goals and we are so excited about them and then months later we are like ohhhh those goals. So I just wanted to give a reminder and little boost to still work towards those goals, because the year Isn't over yet.

With a full 3 months left I feel we can knock some of those out and add another patch on our achievements .

Its never to late to open up that notebook and try to achieve some of those new years goals you have written down. Stick with them and stay consistent. Just because you made your goals for this year doesn't mean the process cant continue into next year.

I challenge you to go back and complete a goal or keep pushing and continue the goal you are working towards. Its never to late and we are all working towards something.

If you have any specific goals your working towards let me know in the comments. Maybe someone has the same goal. Or hey! Maybe I do as well.

Keep On Pushing!

xoxo

It's My Birthday What I've Learned?

Monday, August 7, 2017

Another year down and I'm so excited to be 25. My birthday was august 4, #leoseason. Its so funny because certain ages you turn, make you excited for your birthday. Don't get me wrong! I'm always always excited for my birthday but this year I was extra excited. (how many time did I just say excited )lol I'm 25 years old wooooo! (saying out loud)  I can literally remember turning 21 and not doing anything for my birthday that year and thinking my life would be in this crazy place at 25 years old. Truth be told I thought I would have kids and be this stay at home mom and live in the suburbs , but life had another plan for me and i'm am pretty happy with where I am today. I am so grateful for everything that I have now, and every positive thing that has happened in my life up to this point.

What I really wanted to talk about was everything that I've learned this year. I have done a post like this in the past ----> link here if you would like to read that one. I feel every year we learn something new and there is always a huge lesson we all have every year so i just wanted to share a few of mine and maybe they are lessons you have learned as well.

1. God Always Comes First
This has honestly been the {Biggest Lesson} I've learned and It keeps me so grounded and thankful. I wouldn't be anything If I didn't have God on my side looking after me. He should always be at the forefront in any decision you make or hard times you are going through. Always seek out God and keep him close to you. I think sometimes, when we are upset in life or disappointed we tend to push everyone out, and God is not one person to push out of your life. He is always here to guide us and help us on this journey of life. So putting God first in my decisions and how I carry myself throughout my life has been one of the biggest and greatest lessons learned!

2. Patience
This one is a hard one, because nothing happens over night. Things take time. We as people take time to develop and become better. They say it takes 21 days to break a habit so nothing is instant gratification. And usually anything that is instant can be taken away just as fast as it was given. I would say its definitely better to be patient and understand the process, and go through the process no matter what it is.

3. Put In Work
I laugh at this one because, Man.. putting in work is not just a saying. It is actual work. When you want something you will do everything to get there. even if its late nights, early mornings. You have to put in that time and quality. When you put work into anything you will always see a result. but if you never put in the work you will  always say "ill never get there" but you never put in the work to see if you will get there. Progress is progress, even if its slow. The more work you put into something the more you will get out of it.

4. Love Yourself Hard
You matter so much!!!! so you always have to look out for yourself. Take care of yourself and just be happy as the person you are. Learn everything you can about yourself. What you like what you dislike. What makes you happy! Discover a hobby or crafts that you like.

Hope you enjoyed this post and Until next time!

Change is a Beautiful Thing

Sunday, February 12, 2017

Hey Hey,

Another random post, but an important one that's close me.
I know everyone says, change is a good thing and  THEIR RIGHT, it is!! Change is beautiful actually. It shows that your evolving and growing and learning new things and that is what life is about. The person you were at 18 is not the person you are at 25. Life experiences change us to become who we really are. And at this point in my life I'm all for change and embracing the new things that life can bring. It's funny because at 18 and 19 I actually hated change. I loved having a routine and the same home and having everything be the same. It wasn't until I was in college freshman year and I stayed in the dorms and during this time in my life I had sooo much change to adjust to that I just hated it. Don't get me wrong I really really enjoyed my experience living in dorms its just change at that time in my life was hard. Now going into this year of 2017 I'm going to be 25 years old yay me! and I'm finding so many things that I love and so many things about myself that I didn't know. There's things about me that have changed drastically and I'm loving every minute of it, because I'm turning into who I am. I would love for everyone to embrace their changes that their going through and be accepting of them. Change is beautiful and change is new and exciting and can bring you joy. I hope whoever reads this can take something from it and embrace and love all the changes in their life.

Until Next Time XOXO

Just a Monthly Check-In/ Accomplishing Goals

Wednesday, February 1, 2017

Hey Guys,

I hope everyone had an Eventful New Years and Holiday Break. It's officially the end of January and we are now in the second month of 2017. Can You Believe It! I know time is flying by already, well at least for me it is. I've realized in the past I don't like "new years resolutions". I would rather say I have "these set of goals" I want to accomplish in the new year. Its just a personal preference. A lot of the time we are reaching for a goal for an entire year with out realizing you may need small goals first in order to accomplish the larger goal.

I honesty spent all of January re-evaluating my life and what direction I want to take it in. I had to sit down with myself and say "Look, if you want to accomplish this goal you have to complete these smaller goals first" I began to feel less over whelmed and more calm and at peace with starting a new year.

Soooo, I came here today just to share a little insight into what has been going on in my life and share with you a few of my own goals to hopefully get you started on yours.

My main goal this year was to, start a project and finish through. I love taking on new tasks and what I found out about myself is I can get over whelmed quickly and just drop everything and pretty much go on hiatus. I had to really prioritize what was important in my life and take steps to reach my end goal.

Everyday I assign myself one task to do before I go to bed that is going to help me reach my goal. At the end of the week I look back on my tasks and say did I do everything I could do for that week that is going to help me progress to my goal. If Not... the next week I change my tasks to meet my goal.

Here's an example if your New Years Goal is to travel Out of the Country. You first Goal should be I need a passport. Then you would follow up to the steps it takes to get a passport.
  • Get a Passport picture taken
  • Apply for a passport
  • Research the cost of the passport
  • Research the country you want to visit etc
I've found that its a lot easier to have a larger goal then break that goal down into smaller goals that are easily obtained.

I hope this helps with anyone that may be struggling with life goals. My ultimate plan is to be more consistent on my blog and share more content with my readers.

Until Next Time XOXO

What is Success?....

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Well...Its currently 2:27am as I'm writing this. Why am I awake you ask? Mostly because I have a million thoughts running through my mind, but the one I want to talk about is Success! and what does it mean to be successful. I'm going through all these images of multi million dollar homes on my computer and my mind can't grasp what I would do if I could afford something like that.

We all want success but in what form money, friendship, love life, education, career or is success to us when we have all of those things. I think that we are molded to think that success means physical things and people who worship you (like having fans). Don't get me wrong I'm sure that is an incredible feeling to have so many people look up to you but at the end of the day what is success with just yourself.

I think its finding self fulfillment and finding things in life that you enjoy. I thinks its doing things that take your mind to a positive place and surrounding yourself with like minded people. but the key is finding that hidden success within yourself and creating a life that you enjoy. That could mean if you love to travel, take the time to travel and see the world and make arrangements in life for it. I don't ever want to get stuck in the mind set that I can't see the world because Im stuck at a job, No! I want to see the world and travel and try different food and just experience life.

I don't think you can ever find success within yourself if you never take risks and if you don't get rid of things in your life that may be hindering your success. As scary as that may sound I feel its true. Taking a leap of faith into an unknown territory is what can open doors in the long run. Or trying new things.

I guess what Im trying to say is find your success! and I'm saying this to myself as well. Sometimes we have to take a leap of faith to find out what we love and by finding out what we love, that can be the key to opening up our success. I feel that by finding success within yourself, life because just that more sweet and memorable.
