Favorite Affordable Natural Shower Products

Saturday, March 11, 2017

Hey Guys! Welcome

Recently I've been trying to steer towards the healthy/ no toxic options when I look for personal care items. And I've settled on a few that I just really love right now at the moment and I'm sure in the near future I will have more to share. I do think body care products are something that should be invested in, but lets face it spending 70 dollars on a body wash or scrub is not in everyone's price range. So If your looking for something a little more reasonable and still very natural, here are some options that I hope work for you.

My first favorite, most wonderful, product I use is my Castile Soap by Dr Bronner's. This product is just pure joy, I pretty much use it all the time for everything, even on my face. I like using the unscented one because I do use it on my face and I don't want any scents on my face, that could maybe irritate it. This Soap comes in so many different scents Lavender, Almond (Another personal Favorite), the list goes on.

The next Product I use frequently is from Trader Joe's and it is the Tea Tree Tingle Body Wash. I also have the shampoo and conditioner that's in the same line. I love the peppermint scent and it leaves your body feeling very tingly and fresh and its totally affordable (Around 3 Dollars) You Can't Beat That

I've tried so many body scrubs in the past and I wasn't always a fan of them. But I have came across a body scrub that I love. I love having smooth, buttery skin and one product I am in love with is this Shea Moisture Hand & Body Scrub and this product adds so much moisture to my skin on top of making is extra smooth. I use it about every other day, but that's my personal preference. It has so many Oils and Shea Butter and let me add the smell is just wonderful. I am a Shea Moisture product fan, so now that they have body scrubs I am in heaven.

Last but definitely not least, I have no idea where I'd be in life without this product. Okay okay I'm exaggerating a little but COCONUT OIL is my Love. This is the best moisturizer ever. I use this day and night and every time I get out the shower. Now please remember coconut oil is an oil so it does solidify if it gets to cold. But in the spring summer and fall months in Arizona its Amazing!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know of any affordable body care products that you want to share in the comments below. Thanks!!

XOXO

DIY Peppermint Lip Scrub

Monday, December 26, 2016

Hello There! I know winter time is here and during the winter we tend to be a bit more dry. Our skin needs a little bit more care. But don't worry, today I'm going to show you a simple recipe for peppermint lip scrub. I love using lip scrubs and I never thought to just make my own using the ingredients in my Kitchen. Its really a very simple process and the scrub lasts about a week or 2 depending on how long you want to keep it. This is a great idea for giving a gift or just as a treat for yourself.
What you will need is?

INGREDIENTS
1. Sugar (Raw)
2. Olive Oil or Coconut Oil (or any oil you like)
3. Peppermint Essential Oil
4. Vegetable Glycerine
5. Small Jars
6. Candy Canes (Optional)
7. Food Coloring (Optional)
8. Twine or Jar Labels

I found these really small jars at The Container Store and they come in many different sizes. They are great for DIY Projects or storing small goods.

First you want to gather all of your ingredients and mix them in a small bowl together.

For the next step you are going to finely crush up your candy cane

For an added bonus you can add some pretty food coloring, of any color you like to spice up your scrub.

Now Pack them up and enjoy! I hope you enjoyed this easy fun DIY. It will have your house smelling like peppermint (which is a great thing)
ps. Thank you to my wonderful niece for helping me with this DIY

Until Next Time XOXO

Ways to Relieve Stress & Pamper Yourself

Sunday, December 7, 2014

Stress can be a horrible thing that can be caused by many different aspects of life. Such as, work, school, relationships or just life in general. It's a natural part of life sometimes, but its our job to make sure we take care of it in a healthy way. Now its not good to hold in stress and never release it. It can eat at your body and cause many health problems. That is why it's always good to take a minute for yourself, Relax! and enjoy some "me" time. I would say once a week or once every 2 weeks treat yourself to things you REALLY! love and take care of your body. I have a few things I like to do on a weekly basis to keep my stress levels down and my energy up! Now before We start there are a few things that have to be done!

1. Relaxing Spa Bubble Bath

I'm all for bubble baths they just bring so much ease and comfort. Baths are so cleansing and relaxing for the body! They help calm your mind and give you some peace, If you really want to boost your mood add some sage essential oil to your warm bath to give you that extra relaxation and comfort. Warm water relaxes your muscles and can really give you a calm Ora. If you have aching muscles try adding some Epson salt to your warm bath to ease those pains! My Favorite Bubble Bath at the moment is this wonderful amazing relaxing smelling bubble bath from bath & body works called warm vanilla sugar. It is very calming and soothing. You can also go the more natural route and use essential oils. Essential Oils can give you great strength or help you relax.
Bubble Bath:

  Essential Oils:

Tea Tree Oil helps with Cleansing the Body of Toxins and Stress.
Lavender Oil keeps the body calm and at a relaxed state.
Peppermint Oil Cools the body off and gives you a nice refreshing feeling. (Great for in the morning to wake you up)

** Essential oils were purchased at sprouts

Fragrance:

Don't forget to smell delicious when you get out the tub! I'm loving this new holiday collection from bath and body works! FROSTED WONDERLAND is Heaven! Since this is winter time go for more moisturizing lotions or body creams that have Shea butter for added moisture in these dry months.

Candles:

I like to start off my day of pampering  by lighting candles and setting the right mood! I like to add some scents when I'm relaxing. My two favorite candles at the moment are Walnut Brownie by Living Colors (this candle smells just like a brownie!!) & Bourbon Blondie by Target (this candle also smells like a brownie) The two candles combined reminds me of being in a bakery with home made cookies, cakes and brownies!! Its wonderful.

 2. Entertainment

On those nights when its just you, and you get to choose whatever you want to watch. I like picking up some of my favorite feel-good movies and just watching all of them. While eating my favorite Vanilla Bean gelato!

If I'm not in the mood to watch movies, I usually just hop on my nook and start surfing you tube for my favorite you tubers and enjoy watching there videos. Beauty, Fashion, and Lifestyle Videos are my favorite to Watch! Here are the links to their You tube channels. Kayla Lashae ,Thats Heart & Fun For Louis

3.Music
For my music selection I try and stay with more of the calming yoga style. It really helps me relax and focus. I don't have to listen to words just rhythm, beats and harmony! Try looking up the yoga station on Pandora Internet Radio it's one of my favorites.

4.DIY Beauty Treatments
What is a Pamper Night without a Face Mask! The Mountain Forest Raw Honey gives your face that added moisture it needs in the winter and it also works great at exfoliating the skin. Raw Honey has a lot of great benefits for the skin. It is very healing and can help with people who have Acne, enlarged pores, Eczema, Hyper pigmentation, and Sensitive life less skin.

Directions:
  • Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, then Dry
  • Spread an even layer of raw honey on your face (avoiding the eye area)
  • Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes
  • Then Rinse it off completely
** Raw Honey was purchased at Whole Foods
  5.Hobby
I love writing! When I'm by myself I love to just write about anything, Random Topics, Short Stories, Poems. Just writing period! One of the best things to do when your relieving stress is start doing something you love or enjoy doing. Find out what your hobby is and DO IT! It takes your mind off of everything else and you can really just focus on you. Bring out that creative side we all have!

Hopefully these tips help you and you can go home and have a Nice Pamper Night to relieve some stress!

Bath & Body Works Holiday Haul

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Hey Guys!! So I recently went to Bath & Body works to check out there Holiday Collection and Boy! did I find some goodies. I only went there because they were having a buy 3 get 3 free sale and I had a coupon for 10 dollars off, so I wasn't going to past up that deal. I am so in love with this store, but I have to be careful because I can get ahead of myself and go a little over board. Usually I only go when they are having a sale, that way I feel a little better. Smells are definitely my weakness. I only picked up body creams and fragrance mist because when it comes to body wash, I need something very moisturizing not just a smell. So I buy that separately.

So with that being said the first thing I bought was FROSTED WONDERLAND! First lets just say the packaging on this holiday collection is Perfect! It really stands out and with the frosted flakes its so pretty. I love anything cute, and packaging is very important for me. So A+ for Bath & Body works!!

This smell reminds me of the winter time. It's very soft and relaxing! I chose all body creams instead of lotion because it's winter time and I want my skin to be as moisturized as possible.

The next thing I got was TWISTED PEPPERMINT! This is my Favorite smell so far. I love peppermint so much, anything with peppermint in it, I want. This smell is like a sweet peppermint. I makes me feel so alive and happy. Ive been using it at night and I think It helps me sleep better. It mint add a little cold tingle tot the skin, very refreshing. I picked up the body cream and spray.

Then I got the SUGAR PLUM DREAM! body cream. I only wanted the body cream because sometimes, since it's winter, my hands get really dry and I like to have something that smells good but also adds moisture. Now Bath & Body works add Shea butter in there lotion and body cream for 24 hour moisture. With me living in such a dry climate like Arizona, this helps a lot.

Last but not least I picked up a simple body cream, which is the COUNTRY CHIC! I've had the set before but I just wanted to get the body cream because I love the smell. If your looking for something soft and calming, this is the perfect smell. I will forever love this smell.

I hope you enjoyed this holiday haul from bath & body works. Hopefully you will try some of these also. I know what my staples will be this winter season. Direct links to all of these products are in the post.

Until Next Time XOXO<3
