Surviving The Blazing Summer | Arizona Summer Guide
Tuesday, July 10, 2018
Summer time is here and ready to stay. Summers in Arizona can be harsh, with the dry air the the constant beaming sun and lets not forget the 100+ degree weather. I've lived in Arizona my entire life so I'm use to preparing for the summer. I actually remember buying summer clothes and flip flops and pool supplies and being just super excited as a child when summer came around. Summer meant no school and swimming all day, but as an adult there's so many things you have to prepare for yourself. So here's a guide to surviving summer! Hope you enjoy
Everyday Tips
Overcast Days Are Still Hot
Sometime we think that because the clouds are over the city, that means you can walk around bare foot and just relax outside. Wrong! The heat in Arizona is so hot that even on a cloudy day you can still get blisters and burn your feet. If the sun was 115 one day and overcast the next, the ground is still hot so be careful.
Wear Breathable Clothing
Cotton and breathable clothing can help with not overheating in the summer. Summer dresses and light linen cloths are comfortable and prefect for the summer. I've been in the dress mood lately and they are
Stainless Steel Water Bottle w/ Ice
Water is an essential part of living but definitely an essential part of the summer. Drink as much water as you can, your body will love you for it. I like using a stainless steel water bottle and adding ice t help it stay colder long and I can always add more water and the ice will still be there. So drink up! Takeya Stainless Steel Water Bottle
Baby Wipes
On those long days when your out and shopping, or at the park. Baby wipes help give your skin a refresh after you have been sweating all day. I don't like feeling sticky after I sweat so keeping a good bag of baby wipes keeps you clean and refreshed.A Fan (Big Or Small)
Mini Fans For Your Phone
Protect those sweat stains with a Panty Liner
Water Proof Mascara
No one likes running mascara or if your start sweating and wipe your face you mascara starts to smear. A good water proof mascara give you the pretty awake eyelashes you want without the running black makeup
Cold Rose Water Spray
I like to place all natural rose water in the fridge and use it on my face before I leave the house. Its refreshing and also good for your skin. You can use it in a spray bottle or just a regular face pad. I prefer using a small spray bottle.
Places To Visit
Having a mini stay cation is always fun and super affordable here in the summer. You can find great deals on expedia or hotels.com if your looking to have a relaxing day at spa or just in a nice resort with room service. On the plus side most of them have pools
Sedona
The perfect place to go to get away from the big city and spend some time with nature and red rocks, how cool is that, red rocks. I've lived in Arizona my entire life and I'm always so amazed by it.
Canon Lake
Going on a lake trip is fun! You can go swimming, boating, jet skiing. The most important part is spending time with your family and eating.
Arizona Museum Of Natural History
Any museum is a great summer idea. It's both educational and it has A/C. Some much history to catch up on so get started.
Scottsdale Fashion Square
Just want a simple place to escape the heat, find a mall and explore the shops. Scottsdale Fashion Square has many different shops to explore while still staying cool and great eating too.
Your local coffee shop
I don't know about you but I'm so in love with coffee. Iced coffee in the summer is just perfect. If you like energy drinks dutch bros coffee has some amazing varieties of flavors

5 Quick Tips To Help You Stay Organized
Monday, July 9, 2018
Hey Everyone! I just wanted to come and share a few quick tips with you on organizing your life. Sometimes making that first initial step to a Better you is difficult and hard to stick to but practice makes perfect. Right? So keep going at it and organizing will be as simple as opening a bag of chips....yummy Funyuns! Anyways here's a few quick tips.
TIP 1
1. Make sure you have a place for your stuff at home. Whether it's a basket or drawer just have a designated place. Shoes need a shelf or a small cubbies. Or nicely lined up on the floor is great also.
TIP 2
2. Whenever you are thinking of putting something in the wrong place. STOP! And make the effort in putting it back where it goes. It saves you time and a mess for later on. Always think to yourself, I'm going to feel much better entering back into a room the way I left it, clean and organized!
3. Never go to sleep with clothes, shoes, paper etc. laying around. Do a quick pick up at night so when you wake up you will feel refreshed and not stressed. If you have stairs leave a basket at the bottom of the stairs for items that need to go upstairs and incorporate that into your night time routine.
TIP 4
4. Make a to do list and FOLLOW it, trust me they help. It can be simple like . Clean up dog poo. Wash the dishes. Sweep, take out trash. Just write down what you have to do and check it off as you complete it. I'll be doing a more detailed blog post about a to do list so stay in touch for that.
TIP 5
5. Last but not least. Just know that being organized leads to a more productive and stressed free day.
Natural Refreshing Pillow Mist DIY
Saturday, July 7, 2018
A good nights sleep or even a nap is the best feeling ever! I like to clean my sheets and pillowcases weekly but I always like them to smell good. Instead of buying an expensive pillow mist I made a DIY one with a few natural ingredients.
Now for me essential oils are my can't live without product for anything natural. Pure essential oils are a much better alternative than synthetic fragrances that your not sure whats in them.
There are so many oils to choose from. My favorites at the moment are Lavender and Ylang Ylang. I've always been using lemongrass and grapefruit. My room pretty much smelt like a fresh fruit market for a while.

Are you Having Trouble With Consistency | Writers Block
Friday, July 6, 2018
_________________________________________________________________________________
Maybe that's a problem, idk. I follow so many blogs and I'm always like geez (how do they post so much content). Maybe if I was blogging every single day I definitely could but I just have to get in the flow of things.
I just never want blogging to feel like a chore. I like when my ideas come naturally and I can sit on the computer and write for however long and think of creative pictures to take. That brings me more joy and happiness when I blog.
I'm still working on my blog post about why I started blogging, because when I started It was during a rough period in my life. It was my humble little nest where I could write and be creative.
Sometimes I feel the pressures to upload twice a day and be active and social 24/7. But in reality I miss and love the creative and truthful side to blogging. It was nice to sit down and read someones entire blog post that you know they put there heart into.
And well that's what I wanna do and be. Myself and creative. Consistent, YES! So the goal is to stay consistent, but stay myself and creative and make sure very post I create is one that I love and one that I would love to read.
Just some thoughts, hopefully this helps you and understand your not alone
Enjoy The rest of your week!
